My daughter told me at some point that the next Spider-Man movie would come out without any trailers to avoid spoilers. Although this seemed like (and has since proven to be) fake news, it would be a bold and maybe risky move.

  • “Work has become intolerable. Rest is resistance.” Work is a false idol indeed. For me it didn’t take the pandemic to realize that, but it’s definitely continued my own thinking on this topic.
  • Arras from Barrett Reid-Maroney manages to capture the architecture of the classical stage yet feel modern at the same time.
  • Poison for Breakfast from Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) has me intrigued. The title alone evokes a particular image for me of waking up in some kind of social media hell, but I digress…
  • New Adventures in Hi-Fi is probably one of my favorite R.E.M. albums. I think I already have all the B-side tracks which were released originally along with singles from the album back in 1996 but I’ll still be checking this 25th anniversary edition out.
  • Can’t decide if I love this table with a cat seat or whether it’s a terrifyingly bad idea.
  • I dig the square counter shapes in Rotonto are unexpected and actually work.
